Synopsis:
Batman’s on screen adventures started back in the 1940’s with two serials called “Batman” and “Batman & Robin”. In 1966, the Batman TV show got the big screen treatment with a feature film adaptation starring Adam West and Burt Ward. After the cartoony of the TV show, It took until 1989 before we saw the Caped Crusader onscreen again, in Tim Burton’s Batman, a dark and gothic vision of Batman and Gotham City. Tim Burton directed the 1992 sequel “Batman Returns”, with Joel Schumacher taking over the directors chair for 1995’s Batman Forever, with Val Kilmer taking over the cowl. Joel Schumacher then decided to kill the franchise for nearly a decade by giving the world “Batman & Robin” in 1997, with George Clooney proving a good chin doesn't always make a good Batman. In 2005 Chris Nolan rebooted the franchise with “Batman Begins” starring Christian Bale as Batman and then followed it with two sequels to complete his epic trilogy; The Dark Knight in 2008 and The Dark Knight Rises in 2012. Batman’s next screen outing is set for 2015 with Superman in the “Man of Steel” sequel with Ben Affleck as Batman.
